Museo {i}menos' 1st Anniversary
Museo {i}menos celebrated it's first anniversary at its
inaugural
site, the Centro Recreativo Doña Litha.
The celebration included a live art exhibit, stencil making
workshop, live graffiti, and chicharra guessing contest.
Live Art Exhibit
Museo {i}menos opened up it's portable exhibit spaces to act as
canvas' for live art. It was a collaboration between many
artists including, René Z. Garza, Gabriel Treviño, Mauricio Saenz, Elida
García, Laura Matus, Cande Aguilar, and Gilbert Garza.
Live Graffiti
The Centro Recreativo Doña Litha donated wall space for live graffiti. Demo, Swifty and Dwel created live graffiti. Demo made a mural with El Chavo del 8.
Stencil Making Workshop
The Poor Man's Portable Printing Press was an ongoing event for the day. People of all ages enjoying the day at the water park visited to create stencils.
Chicharra Guessing Contest
Along with the day long festivities, Museo {i}menos held a chicharra guessing contest. Chicharra exuvia were placed in a clear container and participants were asked to guess how many chicharras were in the container without going over. At the end of the event, the winner was revealed and received a prize. Gabriel Treviño was the winner!
